In the three months leading up to November 2019 – according to the Westpac Quarterly Economic Overview - house prices have risen by 3.2% (having risen just 1.5% in the year before that). Westpac are forecasting house prices to rise by around 7% in both 2020 and 2021. The record low mortgage rates are expected to hold in 2020 which will likely fuel new price increases in the property market.
